‘S Wonderful – A Free Gershwin Concert for Seniors

I’ll be performing a free piano concert for seniors April 3rd at the Hudson Valley Senior Residence in Kingston, NY, a non-profit facility. The program will feature my favorite Gershwin songs which I have arranged and interpreted for solo jazz piano.

I’ve been playing for seniors since I was about 11 years old when my mother and I led sing alongs at a local recreation center. I remember trying to learn songs I’d never heard of like “Bye Bye Blackbird” or “Tea For Two”. Little did I know they would become jazz standards for me later on. In college, I performed my classical repertoire for seniors as well as ragtime and jazz. The audiences were always so appreciative and knowledgeable about music.

Sharing my love of music with the elderly has always been a fun and rewarding experience. The concert will be at 2pm, April 3rd and I believe they will have a few extra seats for guests.
